Change is inevitable. In everyday life, we cannot stop the change that environment and weather brings. Even institutions and system flow of our jobs change from time to time. For this reason, rules change. We cannot just stay as we are but we need to adapt in order to survive the fast pace of alteration of our world. This is our reality.
This is also the reality of Civilization 5 this February 2011. The February patch altered many gameplay rules that will definitely change the feel of the game. Since the release of the latest addition to Civilization franchise, building a "tall empire" (an empire that has few highly populous and productive cities) strategy is very hard to compete against "wide empire" (an empire with many smaller cities which occupies the massive area of the map). In response to this, the latest patch corrected this issue and now we got a different kind of ballgame in playing Civilization 5.
In addition to the above improvement, AI also became better in their strategy and in their diplomatic dealings. With this improvement and the change to gameplay rules, Civilization 5, even in single player became more challenging.
There are also lots of changes with the descriptions and effect of the buildings. So after you applied the patch, it is good to check the description of the buildings that you will build. In addition to this, a new building was introduced to the game. This is the Aqueduct. If your city has this structure, whenever a new citizen is born, 40% of Food will remain in the city. In this case, population will grow faster for that particular city. With regards to Civilization 5 strategy, this structure is good to have as early as possible in the game.
With all of these changes, it is good to have a Civilization V Strategy Guide that is up to date in order to stay at the top of this game. It is very frustrating to lose a game in Civilization because it takes up plenty of time in order to finish just one game. In order to escape this frustration, you need to be updated with the latest Civilization 5 strategy to beat your opponents. Further, it is also good to be part of a serious community of Civilization 5 players. The good thing is that there is a place where you can get an updated strategy of Civilization 5 and at the same time, be part of Civilization 5 gamers.
